Why Marketers Need Better Marketing Prompts for ChatGPT and Claude
Most prompt packs give a model a role and a task. You then spend twenty minutes rewriting what comes back.
- The output is generic, so every prompt ends in a rewrite.
- The model invents a statistic and you find out after you publish.
- The draft arrives full of filler openers and em dashes.
- You reread a long prompt each time to find the inputs you need to fill in.
- A free list of five hundred prompts has no workflow behind it.
- Your sales, email and SEO prompts each sound different, and none of them sounds like your brand.
The Prompt Playbook Gives the Model the Whole Brief
Fifteen components sit in every prompt, from the audience and the stakes to a quality bar and an example of good output. Pick a job to see a real prompt from the book and the inputs it asks for.
- Fill the bracketed inputs once, in one block at the top.
- Get a draft pitched at the reader you named, not at the middle of the internet.
- See [CHECK] beside any fact the model could not confirm.
- Rely on built-in rules against filler words and em dashes in writing prompts.
- Improve any prompt you already use with the Prompt Improver, PE01.

The Prompt Playbook Method: Run a Marketing Prompt in Five Steps
Every prompt in the book runs the same way. Find the job, fill the inputs, run it, check the flags and save what worked.
-
Find the prompt
Open the section that matches the job, or search the index. Ten sections cover SEO, sales, email, social, advertising and more.
OUTPUT The one prompt for today's job.
-
Fill the inputs
Replace every bracketed field, such as [Primary Keyword] or [Target Audience], with something specific.
OUTPUT A prompt with no blanks left.
-
Run it
Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant. Run workflow prompts in order, because each step uses the one before.
OUTPUT A first draft pitched at your reader.
-
Check the flags
Verify anything marked [CHECK] against a real source before you publish.
OUTPUT A draft whose facts you have confirmed.
-
Improve and save
Run PE01, the Prompt Improver, on prompts you reuse, and keep the best versions in one file.
OUTPUT A personal prompt file that gets better.

Why a Marketing Prompt Library Needs a Framework
A model fills every gap you leave with the most average answer it knows. A strong prompt leaves fewer gaps. That is the idea behind the 15 components: they turn the brief you would hand a freelance writer into a checklist, so you never skip the part the model needed most.
Anthropic's prompt engineering overview lists clarity, examples, role prompting and prompt chaining among the core techniques, and tells you to define success criteria before you tune a prompt. The Playbook builds those into every prompt, and the workflow prompts are real chains.
And prompts don't replace judgment. Model behaviour changes between versions and providers, so test any output before you publish it, and verify anything a prompt flags with [CHECK].

Built on One Structure, Not a Collection
The author built the Playbook around one 15-component structure and applied it to all 100 prompts, so every prompt asks for the same things in the same order. In the author's experience, most prompts found elsewhere contain two or three of those components.
- 100
- prompts, one structure
- 15
- components each
- 223
- pages
Each prompt opens with a one-line description and its input fields, so you can judge it before you run it. The pages above show two of them.
The Prompt Playbook: Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Prompt Playbook?
It's a library of 100 marketing prompts for ChatGPT and Claude, covering SEO, sales, email, social media, advertising, content and more. Each prompt has fill-in fields and follows one 15-component structure.
Do the prompts work with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini?
Yes. They are plain text, so these ChatGPT prompts for marketing also run as Claude prompts for marketing, in Gemini or in any assistant that accepts a long prompt, including free plans.
What are the 15 components?
Role, audience, task, context and stakes, reasoning sources, tone and voice, output format, negative constraints, chain-of-thought, quality calibration, human-sounding directives, an anti-hallucination guard, an iteration instruction, a completion signal and an example output.
What does the [CHECK] flag do?
It marks any fact, statistic or detail the model could not confirm. Verify each one against a real source before you publish.
How does this differ from free prompts on Reddit or Google?
A typical prompt gives a role and a task. These also give the audience, the stakes, the sources, the output format, a quality bar, things to avoid and an example of good output, so you spend less time rewriting.
How do I customize the prompts for my brand voice?
Replace the bracketed inputs with your own tone, audience and examples. Run an adapted prompt through PE01, the Prompt Improver, so it keeps all 15 components.
What does the Playbook cover?
SEO 19, Sales 15, Brand and PR 13, Content 11, Social 10, Advertising 8, Email 7 (email marketing), Workflows 7, Operations 6 and Prompt Engineering 4, which adds up to 100.
How much does it cost, and where can I buy it?
As of 10 October 2026 it costs $39 on Whop and $39 on Gumroad. The edition table above lists what each store includes.
More questions
How do I save and reuse the prompts?
All 100 prompts come as one plain text file. Paste your favorites into a note, a Claude Project or a custom GPT, and leave the bracketed fields blank.
What should I not use AI for in marketing?
Anything that depends on facts the model cannot verify, such as statistics, quotes and named results. The [CHECK] flag marks those, and the book tells you to confirm them before publishing.
Does it include SEO prompts?
Yes, 19 of them: keyword strategy, Search Console quick wins, internal linking audits, schema markup, FAQ clusters and more. For a full Search Console method, read The Search Console Fix Book.
Does it include email and cold outreach prompts?
Yes. Seven email prompts cover outreach, follow-ups, sequences, subject-line tests, lead recovery and review requests, and fifteen sales prompts cover proposals and objections.
Are there LinkedIn prompts?
Yes. The Social section has ten prompts, including a LinkedIn viral post engine, company culture posts and reply generators for X, Reddit and Quora.
What is the Prompt Improver?
PE01 is a meta-prompt. You paste a rough prompt in and it returns a version rebuilt with all 15 components. A free guide covers it.
Is a blog writing workflow included?
Yes. Prompts B01 to B07 form a seven-step workflow: find competitor posts, analyze them, build headings, find statistics, write the post, write the summary and generate the URL slug.
Does each prompt include an example of good output?
Yes. An example output is the fifteenth component, so you can compare what you get against what good looks like.
What formats do I get?
A 223-page PDF, an EPUB for phones and e-readers, and one plain text file of all 100 prompts. The Gumroad edition adds a DOCX.
Who wrote the Prompt Playbook?
Haris Siddique Budhani, who has worked in content and SEO since 2011, built content teams from scratch and trained more than 40 writers.
Is there a prompt for writing case studies?
Yes. CC01, the Case Study Writer, turns a client's problem, solution and results into a structured case study for a website, a PDF or sales use.
Is this just another 500-prompt pack?
No. The Playbook has 100 prompts, because each one is built on the 15-component framework and carries the [CHECK] flag. Fewer prompts, each a finished workflow instead of a line you rewrite for an hour.
What is the difference between a prompt pack and a prompt playbook?
A pack is a list of prompts you copy and hope work. A playbook adds a framework, workflows and verification, so you can build and fix prompts yourself. This one includes the 15 components, the [CHECK] flag and the blog and website workflows.
Why do my ChatGPT and Claude prompts give generic answers?
Most prompts hold only a role and a task, so the model fills the gaps with averages. Specifying the audience, sources, constraints and output format fixes that, and the 15-component framework forces each one.
